Friday Favorites

Hi, friends! I have been looking forward to Fridayyyy. But is there ever a week when I'm not looking forward to Friday?

Well I've been looking forward to some major girl time this weekend in the form of BFF date night tonight and a bridal shower for one of my favorite ladies tomorrow. *heart eyes*

Let's discuss some faves, shall we?

// Date night tonight with my best girl to have dinner and see I Feel Pretty. We marked the date on our calendar as soon as Amy Schumer announced the release date. We love her and I can't wait to see this movie.

// Can't wait to celebrate one of my other favorite women tomorrow at her bridal shower. I think I'm going to wear this dress I picked up from SJP's line at Gap with some nude wedges. Gotta get some mileage out of that full price I paid ;)

// I completely forgot about this product I had in my purse from MAC and I've become re-obsessed with it. For all my oily ladies out there, do yourself a favor and get this product. It's so good to apply in the late afternoon when my skin is starting to feel particularly gross--soaks up any and all excess oil and I love it.

// This will officially be the oldest person thing I include in a "favorites" list, which is saying something because I legitimately am like a 90 year old at heart, but I picked up these insoles at Walgreens earlier this week and they've been great for my plantar fasciitis, so if anyone else (or their grandparent) is experiencing this, no shame in going generic on insoles (Jesus that sentence was SO old.).

// Confession: I'm not a podcast person. I really want to be and I've favorited a lot on Stitcher, but I seem to have very little attention span for them. It's the same reason I can't do audio books--my mind wanders too much and I end up replaying the same thing over and over again. BUT I discovered the two women of That's So Retrograde this week and I finally finished an entire podcast episode haha. I'm a sucker for anything mindfulness/spiritual/wellness and I really dig their vibe because their energy does a nice job of "normalizing" and juxtaposing the hippie/granola vibes of their guests (although I love hippie granola people regardless). They're super real and I dig it. Highly recommend.

// I ended my work day yesterday by getting an email from our loan agent saying our loan has been officially approved after going through the underwriting process! This is probably super boring to anyone who isn't house hunting or hasn't been through the process!! But I don't care!!! Sorry!!!! I'm just thrilled we're moving onward and upward.
Our future entryway!
Yes, the flowers are going, sadly ;) as is the grandfather clock, although, you know my 90-year-old heart kinda digs it

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! xo

*Linking up with April and Andrea!

  1. Girl, I can totally relate with the anxiety of feeling uncertain about things until that loan is officially completed. Go you! What an impactful entry-way, neat!

  3. That entry-way is gorgeous. I love the door color. Congratulations on the new house. It's such a long process but so worth it.

Enjoy the movie. That's definitely on my must-see list. I was cry laughing just from the trailer.

    1. They are definitely entertaining ladies! And the subject matter, although within the wellness industry/realm, is varied and entertaining as well.

    1. Thank you! She does!! I don't know how permanent it is--I'm guessing not very--but hopefully she comes out with more stuff for another season too.
